A talented Afro-Indigenous Mother Daughter duo. Their business showcases passion for creating traditional indigenous crafts, including moccasins, dreamcatchers, beaded jewelry, ribbon shirts and ribbon skirts (children and adults).
When my granddaughter was 4 years old she had an American Girl Doll and asked why her doll didn’t have clothing that looked like hers, she’s a jingle dress dancer so we’ve added traditional Indigenous ribbon skirts and ribbon pants for 18” Dolls.
Natalie’s journey is marked by resilience, at 14 and again at 16 she bravely faced Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma a rare form of Cancer in children her age.
Now in remission, Natalie and her Mother channel their experience into raising awareness through their art. As Afro-Indigenous artists with Ojibwe and Mi’Kmaq roots, Colleen and Natalie’s work is a testament to their heritage and strength.
